Technical Compliance Manager

 Job Description

We are looking for a new team member to join our growing compliance team for a multi-award-winning B2B iGaming/gambling platform, with offices located in (among other jurisdictions) UK (London), Malta, Portugal and Bulgaria.

Reporting into the Head of Compliance, the technical compliance manager will lead with relevant projects.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Define, manage and operate Certification and Compliance projects up to completion phase.
  • Coordinate the preparation, testing and submission of deliverables (including code) to test houses / labs.
  • Carrying out technical compliance gap assessments/analyses across the relevant jurisdictions / markets in order to correctly and effectively communicate with the relevant teams on the implementation of technical solutions/products.
  • Take a proactive interest in ongoing regulations and their amendments, and ensure that the platform is able to remain industry leading – keeping abreast of trends and direction of travel for key regulated markets of the company.
  • Take the lead role in ensuring the company remains compliant with relevant international iGaming standards across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Read and stay updated with requirements of technical standards, certifications, technical reporting requirements or technical setups, which the platform needs to comply with in order to enter chosen regulatory markets; and liaise effectively with the rest of the teams to ensure such requirements are understood and implemented accordingly.
  • Support Head of Compliance with interacting with external auditors and regulators where and if required on technical compliance matters, including reporting to (and producing reports for) regulators as may be required.
  • Reporting any identified technical compliance risks and gaps and proposing compliant technical solutions and driving their implementation.
  • Report on a weekly basis to management (i) issues identified with the platform (ii) escalation points where necessary and (iii) proposed solutions.
  • Work independently and at a consistently high level, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Keep detailed work in progress updates and work transparently with all teams to ensure a full appreciation of the work you are undertaking, the client experience and business risks and challenges that may be encountered.
  • Facilitate problem resolution for both clients and internal departments in relation to client-related issues.

About You


  • Experience in a similar role within the iGaming/gambling industry, such as information security management and/or international standards.
  • Experience working with remote teams based in different jurisdictions.
  • Experience with building and administering test environments.
  • Good understanding of industry best practices and standards, including GLI 19, GLI 33, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI:DSS, ISO31000, WLA SCS: 2020, etc.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead projects relating to certification of underlying software platforms and systems.
  • Good command of English (verbal and written). Additional languages would be a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or solid practical experience with iGaming international standards, especially GLI 19 and GLI 33.
  • Practical knowledge in non-technical online gambling regulations and standards (e.g. General Data Protection Regulation, Anti Money Laundering, Responsible Gambling, etc.) is a plus as well.
