You are responsible for the engineering management side of team effectiveness &#8211; supporting delivery health, people practices, and cross-team coordination. You partner closely with the Product Owner on execution, and with the Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer to ensure the team is set up for long-term success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"block block-styled-list bullet-icons-arrows bullet-icons-colour-coral wp-block-acf-styled-list\">\n  <div class=\"container-xl\">\n    <div class=\"block-wrap bg-pale-grey\">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The impact you will have<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partner with the Product Owner to ensure engineering work is well-shaped, with clear feasibility, dependencies, sequencing, and high-quality acceptance criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support predictable delivery by managing engineering-side coordination, including capacity alignment, WIP discipline, and escalation of blockers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a clear view of delivery health, using metrics such as cycle time, defect trends, operational load, and reliability signals to drive corrective actions with the Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run regular 1:1s focused on engagement, feedback, and growth, coordinating closely with the Engineering Manager on performance topics and development plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve onboarding, mentoring structures, knowledge sharing, and team rituals that strengthen cohesion and execution quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to hiring through interview participation, role calibration, and onboarding planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as the engineering coordination point across Product, QA, NOC, Performance, Architecture\/Principal Engineers, and other engineering teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage cross-team dependencies and integration readiness, ensuring clear communication and no surprises at release time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with IT Operations on release execution and change management, including environment constraints, change windows, approvals, rollback strategies, and production validation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure consistent release readiness practices, including checklists, go\/no-go criteria, communication plans, and post-release verification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with IT Operations and the Lead Engineer to reduce operational toil through automation, process improvement, and better tooling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate incident follow-ups, ensuring ownership is assigned, actions are tracked to completion, and recurring issues are addressed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure operational documentation such as runbooks, service READMEs, and service ownership information is maintained and discoverable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"block block-styled-list bullet-icons-arrows bullet-icons-colour-coral wp-block-acf-styled-list\">\n  <div class=\"container-xl\">\n    <div class=\"block-wrap bg-pale-grey\">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we\u2019re looking for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3+ years\u2019 experience in engineering leadership or team coordination roles (e.g. Team Lead, Delivery Lead, Engineering Coordinator, or similar).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience working in cross-functional product teams where Product or Delivery owns planning cadence and sprint execution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with Product Owners and engineering counterparts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good technical fluency, ideally with exposure to Java and service-based delivery environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong facilitation, conflict management, and escalation judgement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to interpret delivery, quality, and operational metrics and drive continuous improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organised, proactive, and outcome-focused approach to team leadership and execution support..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"block block-flexible-columns margin-top-medium margin-bottom-medium padding-top-none padding-bottom-none wp-block-acf-flexible-columns\">\n  <div class=\"block-wrap\">\n    <div class=\"container  \">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are Sportingtech<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sportingtech is a multi-award-winning provider of turnkey betting and gaming solutions designed for regulated and emerging markets around the world.
