As our Information Security Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting Sportingtech’s products and infrastructure from cyber threats. You will collaborate with IT, development, and compliance teams to embed security controls across the software development lifecycle, drive application security initiatives, and support governance and regulatory requirements.

The impact you will have

Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Conduct static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) using tools such as SonarQube and Burp Suite
Perform vulnerability testing with tools such as Kali and Tenable Nessus
Lead threat modeling sessions and conduct manual secure code reviews (JavaScript / Node.js)
Monitor emerging application-level threats and design effective security solutions.
Support governance and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, Gaming Regulatory)
Assist with internal and external audits, risk assessments, and vendor security reviews
Contribute to incident response, threat detection, and root cause analysis
Promote information security awareness across the company

What we’re looking for

A passion for Information Security
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
3–5 years of experience in information security or a related technical role
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
Hands-on experience with security testing tools (Burp Suite, Tenable Nessus, SonarQube)
Ability to review and assess source code for vulnerabilities and recommend remediation
Experience with SIEM and threat intelligence tools (Elastic Stack, OpenSearch)
Understanding of the iGaming industry is a plus
